Correlation Between Resected Volume of Prostate and Improvement in International Prostate Symptom Score

Introduction: Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a common disease in ageing men and prostate resection surgical procedure for it. The symptoms of the enlarge can be assessed by using International Prostate Symptoms Score (IPSS). Some studies show that resected volume correlates with while some no correlation between resected. Objective: To find IPSS after resection. Study Design: Cross-Sectional Study. Setting: Department Urology, Institute Kidney Diseases, Peshawar, Pakistan. Duration: 01-10-2020 to 30-03-2022. Material Methods: Pre-operatively, weight height were measured digital machine inches tap.
